Muscat: Frost may form on the mountain peaks due to a drop in temperatures that the Sultanate of Oman may witness on Saturday and Sunday, Oman Meteorology said.
“It is expected that the minimum temperatures will decrease on Saturday and Sunday, coinciding with northwest winds, as the minimum temperatures on the mountain peaks are expected to reach below 5 degrees Celsius, with chances of frost formation on Saturday and Sunday,” the meteorology said in a statement.
Oman Meteorology added that desert areas will see a decrease of 3 degrees Celsius from the current temperatures, with a sense of coolness in the air during northwest winds.
