Sayyid Badr receives Tanzanian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received on Sunday Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The meeting comes within the framework of the Tanzanian Minister’s visit to Oman to head her country’s side in the joint Oman-Tanzania committee meetings.

The two sides reviewed areas of cooperatin in economic and investment fields, especially in the sectors of logistics, ports and energy. They also disucssed several regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Hashel Al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department and Saud Hilal Al Shidhani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Republic of Tanzania.

It was also attended from the Tanzanian side by Stephen Byabato, Deputy Minister for Energy, Fatma Rajab, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Mwana Kamis, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, and Abdallah Abasi Kilima, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Sultanate of Oman.
