Having signed a MoU with the Ministry of Awqaf
Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat, proudly announces its participation in the second Hajj and Umrah Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. The event takes place from 22nd until 24th of October, 2025 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC). At this significant event, Meethaq showcases a wide range of Sharia’a-compliant services tailored for pilgrims and Umrah travelers, including Islamic finance products, takaful solutions, card services, payment options, and saving plans. All attendees have the opportunity to learn about Meethaq’s Hajj and Umrah packages designed to meet the unique needs of pilgrims and Umrah travelers while adhering to Islamic principles.
During the exhibition, Meethaq Islamic Banking and the Ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reaffirming Meethaq’s commitment to supporting pilgrims and Umrah travelers with a full suite of Sharia’a-compliant financial solutions. The MoU further strengthen Meethaq’s successful partnership with the Ministry in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season. The MoU was signed by Ali Ahmed Al Lawati, Assistant General Manager of Meethaq Corporate Banking, and Ahmed Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
The second edition of the Hajj and Umrah Exhibition serves as an effective platform uniting service providers from across the Hajj and Umrah sectors within the Sultanate of Oman and abroad. It highlights the diversity of services available to pilgrims through workshops and awareness sessions, fostering collaboration among stakeholders and enriching the knowledge base across historical, cultural, and religious dimensions.
During the three-day event, visitors have the opportunity to interact with Meethaq team and gain insights into the services offered, including modern digital payment solutions that enhance customer experiences and streamline transactions.
On this occasion, Ali Ahmed Al Lawati, Assistant General Manager of Meethaq Corporate Banking, expressed pride in taking part in this premier gathering of Hajj service providers in Oman. He emphasizes Meethaq’s commitment to promoting Islamic banking and its contributions to the field of Islamic finance. Ali Al Lawati invites attendees to visit Meethaq pavilion to explore the offerings and discover new opportunities for collaboration in service provision for Hajj and Umrah.
