As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing national talent and providing sustainable professional development opportunities that prepare future-ready leaders, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has launched a new edition of its EAGLEs programme. The initiative reflects the Bank’s strategic focus on institutional excellence and leadership development, contributing to the creation of a more cohesive, agile, and empowered workforce. Launched annually, the EAGLEs programme stands for Engage, Align, Grow, Learn, Evolve, and it forms a key pillar of the Bank’s broader strategy to invest in employee capabilities and support its vision of empowering young Omani talent. Each of the programme’s five pillars delivers a deliberate message: engaging leaders to take ownership, aligning them with strategic priorities, enabling growth through experience, fostering continuous learning, and encouraging evolution in response to a dynamic banking landscape.
Aimed at strengthening the strategic leadership skills of branch managers across the Bank’s retail, corporate, and Meethaq Islamic banking branches, this year’s edition will include 93 branch managers.
At the program launch, Ahmed Faqir Al Bulushi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Banking, highlighted the vital and impactful role branch managers play in business growth and in delivering best-in-class customer service. He said: “The EAGLEs programme represents a significant milestone in the Bank’s journey toward embedding a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous development. A key objective of the program is to broaden participants’ exposure to diverse market dynamics, enabling them to better understand evolving customer expectations and industry trends. This exposure strengthens their ability to lead with a customer-centric approach, enhancing service delivery while deepening their knowledge, adaptability, and leadership impact in an increasingly competitive environment. Aligned with Oman Vision 2040, the EAGLEs program also plays a vital role in empowering Omani talent and advancing Omanization. It underscores the Bank’s dedication to developing national capabilities and encouraging open communication between branch leadership and senior management. This strategic commitment helps in ensuring that Omani professionals are well-prepared to take on strategic leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic progress.”
Bank Muscat places strong emphasis on developing employee capabilities through a wide range of training programs and learning opportunities from the outset of their careers.
