بنك مسقط يواصل الاستثمار في الكفاءات الوطنية عبر إطلاق نسخة جديدة من برنامج “نسور”

As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing national talent and providing sustainable professional development opportunities that prepare future-ready leaders, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has launched a new edition of its EAGLEs programme. The initiative reflects the Bank’s strategic focus on institutional excellence and leadership development, contributing to the creation of a more cohesive, agile, and empowered workforce. Launched annually, the EAGLEs programme stands for Engage, Align, Grow, Learn, Evolve, and it forms a key pillar of the Bank’s broader strategy to invest in employee capabilities and support its vision of empowering young Omani talent. Each of the programme’s five pillars delivers a deliberate message: engaging leaders to take ownership, aligning them with strategic priorities, enabling growth through experience, fostering continuous learning, and encouraging evolution in response to a dynamic banking landscape.

Aimed at strengthening the strategic leadership skills of branch managers across the Bank’s retail, corporate, and Meethaq Islamic banking branches, this year’s edition will include 93 branch managers.

At the program launch, Ahmed Faqir Al Bulushi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Banking, highlighted the vital and impactful role branch managers play in business growth and in delivering best-in-class customer service. He said: “The EAGLEs programme represents a significant milestone in the Bank’s journey toward embedding a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous development. A key objective of the program is to broaden participants’ exposure to diverse market dynamics, enabling them to better understand evolving customer expectations and industry trends. This exposure strengthens their ability to lead with a customer-centric approach, enhancing service delivery while deepening their knowledge, adaptability, and leadership impact in an increasingly competitive environment. Aligned with Oman Vision 2040, the EAGLEs program also plays a vital role in empowering Omani talent and advancing Omanization. It underscores the Bank’s dedication to developing national capabilities and encouraging open communication between branch leadership and senior management. This strategic commitment helps in ensuring that Omani professionals are well-prepared to take on strategic leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic progress.”

Bank Muscat places strong emphasis on developing employee capabilities through a wide range of training programs and learning opportunities from the outset of their careers. The Bank has implemented a strategic roadmap to expand its achievements in human capital development, while creating broader opportunities for Omani youth to showcase their talents and professional skills. This is achieved through continuous coordination across departments to identify evolving needs and keep pace with developments in the banking sector. Over the years, the Bank has also fostered a model work environment that supports the delivery of superior services and solutions to both retail and corporate customers, positioning itself as an employer of choice and a leading destination for Omani talent. Today, Bank Muscat employs more than 4,000 staff across its headquarters, departments, and branches throughout the Sultanate, all of whom benefit from diverse training programs and workshops.
During 2025, Jadara Academy organized over 1,059 training programmes and online modules (on Fusion Cloud and SoftSkills) where over 34,580 training seats were utilized, translating to 38,134 training man-days. Over 143 staff employees are currently participating in different programmes under educational assistance at local colleges and universities. Also, 7 of the Bank’s employees graduated through international scholarship programmes in 2025 and 8 are currently studying. With regards to professional certification, 79 employees successfully completed their professional certifications and additional 49 staff are currently studying.
