Community initiative provides a mother and her five children with a safe home and a more stable future.
ARA Petroleum, in partnership with Dar Al Atta’a Association, has announced the completion of a new family home under the “Together, We Build” initiative, marking the latest project delivered through the company’s social investment programme.
Through this initiative, a fully completed home was provided to a mother and her five children, offering the family a safe, comfortable and stable living environment and opening a new chapter with greater security and hope for the future. The project is part of ARA Petroleum’s ongoing efforts to support community initiatives that go beyond immediate assistance, creating a meaningful and lasting impact for individuals and families through sustainable partnerships.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr Omar Al-Jaaidi, Chief Operating Officer of ARA Petroleum, said: “The ‘Together, We Build’ initiative reflects ARA Petroleum’s commitment to implementing sustainable community projects that create a tangible and long-term impact on individuals and families. We believe our responsibility extends beyond our operational activities to contribute to community development, improving quality of life, and providing families with greater security, stability, and hope for the future.”
Adding to this, Basma Al Rahbi, ESG Manager at ARA Petroleum, commented: “We hold our social investment to the same standard as the environmental and governance pillars of our ESG agenda – a documented needs assessment at the outset and measurable outcomes at the conclusion. Equally important is how the project was delivered. The build was carried out through local contractors and suppliers, ensuring that expenditure remained within the Omani economy while the family gained a permanent asset. That dual social and economic return is the benchmark we now apply when selecting future programmes.”
Maryam Al Zadjali, Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a Association, commented: “The ‘Together, We Build’ initiative demonstrates the importance of collaboration between private sector organisations and charitable associations in delivering sustainable projects that create tangible and lasting impact for deserving families. We extend our appreciation to ARA Petroleum for its support and effective partnership. The completion of this home represents not merely the end of a project, but a new beginning for the family and a safer, brighter future for the children.”
The initiative highlights the important role of community partnerships in delivering sustainable solutions that meet families’ needs and strengthen social stability and solidarity. It also reaffirms the commitment of ARA Petroleum and Dar Al Atta’a Association to continued collaboration on initiatives that create an enduring positive impact within the community. Through “Together, We Build”, the partners are not simply building homes – they are helping build hope, stability and a better future.
