Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the death of Field Marshal Mohammad Hussien Tantawi, former Minister of Defence and Chief of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.
In the cable, His Majesty expressed his heartfelt sympathies to President el Sisi, the deceased’s family and the brotherly people of Egypt.
His Majesty prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in peace in Paradise and grant his family fortitude to bear the loss.
