His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, visited this morning the Said bin Sultan Naval Base of the Royal Navy of Oman
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik visited the Said bin Sultan Naval Base operated by the Royal Navy of Oman on Wednesday morning.
“His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, visited this morning the Said bin Sultan Naval Base of the Royal Navy of Oman,” the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
His Majesty listened to a briefing about the operational capabilities and the national duties of the Royal Navy of Oman, as well as the role it plays alongwith the rest of the branches of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, military and security agencies and other government institutions.
His Majesty inspected one of the ships of the Royal Navy of Oman fleet. RNO personnel were honoured to present an operational model that simulates the mechanism of dealing with supposed hostile targets, in a manner that demonstrates readiness and level of efficiency in dealing with operational situations, using advanced and modern weapons used by the Royal Navy of Oman.
