Close to 2.9 million people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Oman

Muscat: As many as 2,896,271 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Oman with the first jab since launching the National Immunisation Campaign in December 2020 till yesterday (26 September), reaching 82 per cent of the target segment.

The number of those who received two jabs of COVID-19 vaccine stood at 2,050,716 comprising 58 per cent.

The total number of administered doses stood at 4,946,987.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health continues vaccinating the target segments against COVID-19 in all governorates of the Sultanate as vaccination centres witness a good daily turnout.
