Muscat: The first factory at Oman-China industrial corridor in Duqm will be officially inaugurated on Sunday at the Duqm Special Economic Zone

The Hongtong Duqm Pipiping factory, the first project of its kind in the Sultanate established under Omani-Chinese partnership, specializes in the production of non-metallic pipes made of reinforced polyethylene, which are used in the collection and transportation of hydrocarbon fluids.

Headquartered in Duqm, Duqm Hongtong Piping aims to provide advanced and durable Thermopolyethylene Pipes systems for applications in the oil and gas industry, water & gas distribution network civil engineering, sewer water treatment companies, special construction, and special infrastructure business.

Built over an area of 60,000 sq meters, the factory is designed to be capable of producing around 1,200 km of Reinforced Thermopolyethylene pipes (RTP) annually.
