Muscat: Coastal areas of Jalan Wilayat in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, are witnessing the catching of large quantities of octopus, locally called Terbah, which is characterised by its high nutritional value.
“The months of September and October of each year are the most suitable times for catching octopus, as the phenomenon of sea islands occurs after a temporary and gradual decrease in sea level with the formation of marine rocks on the beaches in the first lunar days as well as in the middle of the month,”Oman News Agency said.
