Muscat: The Economic and Financial Committee of Majlis Al Shura discussed on Tuesday its final report on the Draft General Budget of the State 2022 referred to it from the Council of Ministers in preparation for presenting and discussing the final report during the third regular session of the third annual convening 2021-2022, scheduled for next week.
The discussion was held during the second regular meeting of the third annual convening 2021-2022 of the ninth term 2019-2023, chaired by Ahmed bin Said Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Committee in the presence of the Committee members.
The meeting discussed the recommendations of the Committee incorporated in the report, mainly the mechanisms of financing the deficit and the government plans on diversification of sources of the national income and increasing the contribution of the industrial, tourism sectors and logistics industries in the national income.
It also discussed the Securities Draft Law among other issues.
