MUSCAT: Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture (SQHCCS) and Science announced the resumption of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature in its ninth edition dedicated to Omanis only.
SQHCCS announced it will be receiving nominations in the fields of Omani heritage (culture), theater groups (arts) and literature.
In September 15, 2020, SQHCC suspended receipt of nominations for the ninth edition of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature was founded in 2011 in recognition from late Sultan Qaboos bin Said to Omani and Arab intellectuals, artists and literati for their civilizational contributions. — ONA
