Her thoughts about woman and life are depicted through her art works.
The work was shown at the Stal Art Gallery and is the first artwork that she displayed with a group of promising artists in the ‘Promising Artists Award 2016’ section.
The artwork talks about the woman and she conveys to the world, ‘I hope you will look to me, how I look at you, where I used the symbols of honour, which is one of the old windows through which the woman looked outside in to the neighbourhood without anyone noticing her presence, as if she was lurking while she was saying to the world, “I wish you would see me and hear me.”
According to Sara, “This is a permanent call within the woman’s inner self. The ancient wedding as a symbol inherent to it, no matter how far it reached from what it was, it remains as before with deep roots.”
She would like to use yet another artwork to symbolise the International Women’s Day and that is the ‘Barcode’.
The artwork tackles the contradictions facing women in modern society who are often trapped in traditional habits rooted in bygone era.
“Modern society tries to liberate women from the shackles of history and bring them forward into the 21st century in the midst of this ongoing ideological conflict and the liberation of women from certain restrictions, there are some forms of reactions that influence women’s thinking still – conforming to the traditional beliefs that are not free and are controlled by others who try to manipulate them emotionally and physically.”
Ask her about International Women’s Day and how she relates to the concept, this is what she has to say: “We women have a distinctive character and it became clear through what the world has witnessed today, the challenge is confrontation and walking in a certain tone so that I can reach my goals in a short way, without the need to go through wasted efforts, I can pump energy into myself through the achievements that I perform as duties towards myself, my country and my social environment, and many people around me support my path and we women need it. Finally, I thank everyone who contributed to the success of women in this generous country.”
