Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development followed the clip circulating on social media for the girl who was exhausted and fell asleep while selling on the side of the road in one of the governorates.
The ministry explained that the child protection representative in the wilayat visited the site where the girl was selling and met her father, who is from Arab nationality.
The ministry’ representative took the necessary action.
The Ministry stresses that the Child Law in Article 45 of Chapter Seven stipulates that “it is prohibited to employ any child in jobs and industries that, by their nature or by the circumstances in which they are engaged, are likely to harm his/her health, safety, or moral behavior.”
