Muscat: More than 180 kilos of food found unfit for human consumption has been destroyed and 28 health violations were issued during inspection visits that were carried out by Muscat Municipality at various shops in the Wilayat of Seeb .
Muscat Municipality said in a statement: “The Food Control Department of the Muscat Municipality in Seeb carried out 1,029 inspection visits, which included shops selling meat, sweets, nuts and Omani sweets, in addition to shops carrying out men’s barber activities, which resulted in issuing of 28 health violations and destruction of 185 kg of food items unfit for human consumption, with two closure notices.”
