Taqah: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Department on Wednesday said two people were died and three injured after a wooden ferry capsized in the Wilayat of Taqah in Dhofar governorate.
“The rescue teams of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority in Dhofar governorate dealt with an accident that drowned a wooden boat on board with 10 people of Asian nationality, loaded with a group of vehicles off the coast of Taqah Wilayat,” the agency said in a statement.
The agency managed to rescue eight people and they were taken to the hospital for necessary treatment.
