Muscat: Spanish coach Wan David Gordo Mancilla has selected 26 players for the Oman national youth team camp, which begins on July 10.
They will play two matches with the Palestinian team on July 14 and 16 before travelling to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Arab Youth Cup, which will be held from July 20 to August 5.
The selected players are Ahmad al Harmali, Saeed al Adawi, Mulham al Hadrami, Jawad al Azzi, al Muntasir al Maawali, Osama al Rawahi, Salem al Abri, Salem al Mashaikhi, Salem al Abdali, Khalfan al Rudaini, Abdul Aziz al Khalidi, Al Mutasim al Samin, Sultan al Marzouqi, Saeed al Ghanbosi, Mamoon al Araimi, Abdul Alim al Rawahi, Ahed al Mashaikhi, Mazen al Balqar, Ali al Mashaikhi, Nasser al Balushi, Ayman al Nabhani, Mohammed al Awfi, Al Muhtadi al Abri and Mohammed Bait Subai.
The Olympic national team will start its external camp in the Republic of Turkey from July 18 to 31, and there will be four friendly games including two matches with the Bahrain Olympic team on July 22 and 24.
On the other hand, Oman Olympic team finished the internal camp with the participation of 26 players led by national coach Akram Habrish. It was in preparation for major international assignments including the West Asian U-23 Championship next November, the Arab Gulf Cup U-23 Championship in August 2023, and the Asian U-23 qualifiers in September 2023, which acts as a qualifier for the Paris Olympics 2024.
