Istanbul: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the Omani business delegation took part in several exhibitions on the sidelines of the 15th Arab-Turkish Economic Cooperation Forum, being held in Istanbul.
The forum covers a spectrum of areas namely food materials, technologies specializing in food processing, agriculture, hotel equipment, restaurants, cafes and bakeries among others.
Eng Rida Juma al Saleh, Chairman of OCCI and head of the Omani business delegation said that the forum is an opportunity to highlight the investment climate and the attractive environment for investment in the Sultanate.
Al Saleh added that the forum underscores the importance of Arab-Turkish economic and trade relations. He also reiterated the keenness of boosting those relations and benefiting from them, especially in developing the private sector and increasing its contribution in the gross domestic product (GDP).
The Omani business delegation comprises officials operating in diverse economic and investment sectors in the Sultanate. Madayn and the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) are taking part in the event. –ONA
