Muscat: Sur Hospital has begun implementing the decision to reduce the waiting list of surgical appointments, starting from pediatrics.
The General Directorate of Health Services in South Al Sharqiyah said: “Sur Hospital begins to reduce the dates of pediatric surgeries, in cooperation with the National Pediatric Surgery Team led by Dr. Zainab Al Balushi, Senior Consultant and Head of Pediatric Surgery Unit at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.”
Previously, the Minister of Health appreciated the efforts made by health sector workers to reduce patient waiting lists and bring outpatient appointments and surgeries closer, as a result of non-urgent delays during the Covid pandemic. It calls for achieving this goal before the end of 2022.
In his message, His Excellency the Minister stressed the importance of always invoking the main objective of the Ministry of Health, which is to provide high quality health care, starting from examining the patient and diagnosing his health condition and ending with providing him with appropriate treatment in any specialty in the health institutions spread throughout the Sultanate of Oman.
