Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said has announced the launching of the second edition of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design, which will be on creating a design of a museum for maritime history in the Wilayat of Sur, Governorate of South Sharqiyah.
“Omani youth are able to employ their architectural tools and artistic taste to present innovative architectural designs,” HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said in a statement.
“We are pleased to launch today the second cycle of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design. We are addressing all youth of the Sultanate of Oman and inviting them to take the initiative by participating and contributing to present their architectural perceptions and views,” the statement said.
“We are launching this session to express ow sincere gratitude and thanks to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, who blessed this award since its first launching it is an honor for this session to adopt the design of the Maritime History Museum project, which is hoped to be built in the wilayat of Sur, Al Shargiyah South Governorate through the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
With the beginning of the second cycle, we would like to thank all the young people who participated in the first session for their Ideas and perceptions especially those who won the first three prizes. Moreover. we encourage everyone: who meets the conditions of participation. to take the Initiative and to use their architectural and technical skills to present their ideas for this award in its second cycle Omani youth are able to employ their architectural tools and artistic taste to present innovative architectural designs.”
