Renaissance launches next-gen leadership programme

MUSCAT: Renaissance Services, Oman’s leading services solutions company, has introduced the Renaissance Accelerated Learning Initiative (RALI), an intensive programme aimed at grooming talented young Omanis as future managers.

RALI was launched on September 20 at the company’s head office with CEO Stephen Thomas introducing the inaugural batch of 11 trainees to the company’s operations and values.

As a responsible private sector entity focused on Omanisation and ICV, Renaissance has aligned RALI with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 which emphasises driving positive local impact and creating an indirect value chain by enhancing the skills and employability of young Omanis.

Welcoming the trainees on board, Stephen said, “Good organisations will always value the fresh ideas, energy, innovations, and disruptive approach that young talent brings with it. RALI is also aligned with Renaissance 2.0, a move towards grooming the next generation of leadership, and young Omanis like these will lead the company to greater heights.”

Under the eight-month intensive programme, this group will be equipped with essential skills along with on-the-job experience through rotational deputation in Renaissance’s various departments and its sites of operation across Oman, including Renaissance Village Duqm.

Renaissance partnered with Competence HR, a leading HR and management development consultancy, to invite, screen, select and train candidates for this initiative. The benchmarks for selection were excellent communication skills, passion to achieve, desire to learn, and willingness to be part of a continually growing and evolving organisation. The RALI trainees were shortlisted from a pool of over 1,000 applicants after a rigorous, multi-layered selection process.

Munir Al Lawati, Senior Manager – Human Resources, added, “These trainees are breaking all stereotypes. They are hard-working, engaged, motivated and full of new ideas. Renaissance will find some superstars among them.”

Renaissance is the leading accommodation, services solutions and IFM company in Oman, listed on Muscat Stock Exchange. As of 2020, the company has invested over $ 500 million in Oman employing over 2,350 Omani nationals contributing to local growth, building potential and creating opportunities.
