Muscat: The number of requests for automatic licensing submitted through the “Invest Easy” portal or through Sanad offices is 159,529 during the period between April 4, 2021, and February 2022.
A number of investors and businessmen who obtained automatic licenses confirmed that the service contributes to creating a business environment that promotes growth as it allows business owners and investors to start their economic directly for the first time in the Sultanate of Oman.
The automatic licensing service comes within the framework of the comprehensive development of services provided by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion through the Invest Easy portal, in cooperation with a number of government agencies, within the economic stimulus plan.
The service allows the investor to obtain an automatic license for more than 1,500 economic activities, which constitute 88 percent of the total economic activities, including the sectors of agriculture, animal production, fishing, manufacturing industries, repair and installation of machinery, equipment, devices, electrical supplies, water, construction and building, in addition to the sectors of vehicle maintenance and repair, wholesale and retail, and activities. Commercial, transportation, and warehousing.
