Al Kindi named as public relations head at ASF

Oman’s Ismail Issa al Kindi, Secretary-General of Oman Squash Committee (OSC) and a member of Arab Squash Federation (ASF), took part at the extraordinary General Assembly meeting of the federation in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Kuwait’s Waleed al Sumaiee, head of ASF in presence of members from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain and Oman.

During the meeting, the members discussed several topics related to squash in the Arabian region. The meeting also approved the statutes of the federation and internal policies on financial, admin and related policies to the statutes of federation. The federation confirmed the agenda for the rest of 2022 and 2023.

Al Kindi met ASF chairman and other members. In these meetings, Oman’s Secretary-General of OSC reviewed the ways to enhance mutual cooperation between both sides. He set different plans with them on arranging some training courses for the coaches and umpires in the forthcoming period to develop Oman squash prowess.

The Secretary-General of OSC was elected as a member of the executive committee of Arab Squash Federation in March for the term 2021-2025. OSC is gearing up to hold many events during summer season for different age categories including the junior and cadet. Moreover, the committee organised many squash open days during the few months ago to provide some basic skills for the beginners.
